DHAT Physician Named Medical Director at Children’s Medical Center-Plano

Kendall O. Brown, M. D. to serve as Medical Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology

Dallas — October 17, 2019 — Children’s Medical Center recently appointed Dr. Kendall O. Brown., M.D. a pediatric gastroenterologist with Digestive Health Associates of Texas (DHAT), P.A. as Medical Director of Gastroenterology (GI) for Children’s Medical Center Plano.

“We are always elated to see the talent and dedication of our DHAT Physicians be recognized and maximized among the North Texas communities we serve,” said James, Hakert, M.D., President, Digestive Health Associates of Texas, P.A. “Dr. Brown is an outstanding pediatric GI doctor and will serve the patients and staff very well at Children’s Medical Center Plano.

In addition to providing an outpatient clinic in Specialty Center 2 at Children's Medical Center Plano, Dr. Brown and his DHAT colleagues provide consult and emergency department call coverage for the Plano campus.

For the past 30 years, Dr. Brown has been providing GI care to newborn through college age patients, addressing a wide range of issues such as gastroesophageal reflux, swallowing difficulties, abdominal pain, celiac disease, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), failure to thrive, and gastrointestinal allergic and autoimmune disorders. He has been active with Make-A-Wish Foundation for the past twelve years, serving in leadership roles at both the local and national levels. He has also been extensively involved with the Plano Children’s Clinic and the North Texas chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
